Waking in Santa Cruz I realized we had just four more days to get to Mt. Hood - and about 700 miles more to drive. Since we were on the coast, and San Francisco was just a stone's throw away, it was our next logical stop.
So, we explored Fisherman's Wharf first, then headed for the Exploratorium!
While I originally thought we'd spend a couple of hours at Exploratorium, we stayed six hours and left only because they were closing! It was amazing and a definite return-to place when we are in SF again in the future!
Over dinner Boo said he wanted to do some more Junior Ranger programs, so I checked the map and our national park passport and decided we'd target the Redwood National Park next.
